Three
important books [by Alekhine]
are available in the English
language: the New
York Tournament and two volumes of his own
games. The value of all
three lies in the annotation. For objectivity, clarity and
clear-cut
finality, they stand alone.

Mont, Memoir of Alekhine
-
The most interesting analytical mistakes [3 so far]
-
An early book with annotations by Alekhine. With only 30 games to
annotate, Alekhine did an admirable job, especially on his own games.
Still, 24 games have significant errors in analysis, and some of the
errors are howlers.
-
Annotating 110 games in just a few months was a Herculean task.
Here are corrections from 64 of those games. Perhaps we
should be surprised that there are so few!
-
Another famous book by Alekhine: 105 games, 49 requiring corrections.
My Best Games of Chess, 1908-1923 by Alexander Alekhine
Coming in 2008.
My Best Games of Chess, 1924-1937 by Alexander Alekhine
Coming in 2008.
-
An enjoyable, popular book with, perhaps, too many errors [46
corrections so far]
-
A monumental five-part series by the former World Champion
